So wile digging through an old storage box I came across my old DragonLance novel stash from back in the day, an I thought what the hell I have no life might as well read em for old times sake. Somewhere along the amazing journey through the world of Krynn I came to the not so shocking realization that we all inevitably come to sooner or later in life:
I was stupid kid. Those books are crap. I ended up skimming the majority of them and kept hoping everyone would die horribly despite vague memories to the contrary. The only interesting thing about those stories was my boy Raistlin here so somehow I ended doing a head study of him. Hes oddly fun to paint. Yaaaay Im a huge dork! CommentsAwesome
Eh every RPGer seemed to have a super-powerful mage with strange features after that series. The animated film was a HUGE let down. -- "Well wiki how about that" ~Raj Beckett: Shut the front door! Castle: No time for dirty talk... ... I still like those books.
Interesting head angle pulled off great, the shading of the face is superb, the eyes are catching... And that expression is definitely Raistlin. The cloak isn't shaded with the same detail as the face and hair, though; I don't think that it needs as much, but it might fit in better if it had a just tad more shading. All in all... great work. -- The world today doesn't make sense, so why should I paint pictures that do? ~Pablo Picasso ahaha omg Raistlin... <3 this looks great~
and i still like those books >.> i dont even care... well... only the ones by Weis and Hickman anyway. -- ♥☆ ---------------------new account @ ~glitterkunt I knew instantly who I was looking at. It is strange how such characters can stick with you, floating around in the back your consciousness. Their impact on your youth not diminished by growing maturity. Raistlin certainly was that for me too. Thank you for doing my mind's eye justice, and bringing a wicked little gleam to my smile as I think back on him.
